Have a couple questions about the onsen thing!
First, what format are we going to do this in? Endy, you mentioned doing group logs in a sort of spamfest format because of the difficulty in getting everyone online at once... that would be a very good idea here I think. Seems like most everybody wants to play, but but... I for one will be kind of busy for the next couple months, at least. Not so busy that I can't post, but I'll rarely be able to be online when you guys are.
So that leads to the second question; could we start it, like, soon? Maybe this weekend? It seems like people have got logs, etc. planned (the anti-Itou thing, plus I've done at least three logs with various people) that can't take place until after the onsen trip.
Sorry to bug you all, but it's because of the aforementioned busy-ness. Wouldn't want Hijikata-chan to miss out on the trip because his player has nasty schoolwork to deal with! |

I'm back, since a few days.
And I am once again, quite naively, *amazed* at the amount of work that piles up whenever I'm absent for so much as a couple of days. One might almost think that the principal and my fellow dean never get off their fat asses do anything productive without me egging them on.
For example, I find here a survey about how many high school students in Tokyo take part in sports activities related to their school. It's supposed to be sent in in three weeks' time... and we *do* want to make Kyuuri look good, here, don't we? So I think it would be very good (translation: it's mandatory) if the kendou club, the various sports teams, etc. hold their tryouts in the next two weeks. This will give me ample time to compile the registries and send it all in. |

It seems this flu bug was tougher to beat than I thought. I'll be working from home for the next few days. Kondou-san, in the unlikely event that you want to discuss something with me, you have my cell number. |

Thanks for the soup, Sakamoto. If the teaching thing doesn't work out, I'll make sure to get you a job in the cafeteria. You'd be an improvement on the present talent.
Kondou-san, we need to talk about the Art Class Situation *today*. I mean it. If I get your answering machine once more, I'm breaking down the door, and we can't afford the repairs.
In other matters... it seems certain people in this school can still surprise me. One certain person, anyway. It's surprising how one can know someone for several years, and then suddenly find them so exciting annoying, out of the blue.
Of course, when it comes to certain students, this isn't surprising at all. That Fuuma girl needs an attitude adjustment, just to take one example. |

For *some* reason, I've acquired a bad head cold. As such, I'd advise everyone to avoid my office, or I'll sneeze on you and make you share my misery. Which will still be as nothing to the misery a certain person will endure when I get hold of them. |

This is shaping up to be a most unusual school year. Apart from a few incidents of wall-doodling, there's been little of the *trouble* usually associated with the beginning of a new term. No swirlied-half-to-death freshmen staggering through the corridors, very few pranks against our new teachers...
Oh, and speaking of teachers. Kondou-san, I think a meeting might be in order to discuss how to resolve the art class situation. According to my calculations, if we hire another art teacher right now, our previous budget (and the new chemistry lab) is shot. A few bank officials also will be shot. Apparently the art teacher's been getting paid for the last three years without in fact working or indeed being *alive*, and the bank claims there's no way we could get the money back... so our financial straits just got direr than ever.
Special notice to Okita and Fuuma: I'm almost starting to suspect you two are using my office as a dating venue, what with both of you apparently *trying* to be in detention constantly. Do please stop, I value my health and having to watch the pair of you bill and coo will make me violently sick. I suggest Yamanami's office instead, I'm sure he will be *thrilled* by these expressions of adolescent affection. |

I've finally found out what happened to my skiving missing fellow Dean.
Yamanami-san called me an hour ago, from his family's home in Sendai prefecture. He claims a close relative of his is seriously ill. Me, I'm guessing the sight of you lot at assembly made him feel the need for another couple of weeks' vacation. Anyway, he assures me he'll be returning in a week or two, once the situation's stable again.

[OOC: I'm making this entry 'cause mochi will indeed be away for a couple weeks, her brother's ill and she's helping to take care of him. Let's all wish them both the best of luck, OK?] |

As agreed at the general staff meeting last Tuesday, English class will be mandatory for all students from first year onward, starting this term. Kyuuri takes the international profile very seriously and we expect you students to do so as well. Or else. |

Kondou-san, it seems we need to hire a new art teacher. After we remove the remains of the old one.
I'd never have thought the man was such a mechanical genius. I wish I'd known he was unhappy teaching art, I could've moved him to metal shop.
Harada, you lying little bastard you're in detention for another week. |

Kondou-san, it's my sad duty to inform you that this year's seniors are setting a new speed record for vandalism. The entire corridor outside the math classrooms is covered in paint.
Fortunately, the stuff is still wet and it should be possible to remove most of it without damaging the walls.
Also, the culprit has been identified. He was stupid enough to sign his work.
Harada - detention. Starting at 4 PM this afternoon and continuing until those walls are once again clean, pristine and [checks color of small remaining unpainted fragment of wall] ...pea-soup yellow?! Right. |

And, as such, a few things to lay down to new arrivals. For the rest of you, business as usual, you really *should* know these things by now. But then, considering your track record...
#1: It is not allowed to deviate from school behavior codes.
#2: It is not allowed to leave your designated classroom, or to leave school grounds during the day, without written permission from a staff member.
#3: It is not allowed to squander school funds. This includes damaging school property, even by accident.
#4: It is not allowed to interfere in disciplinary matters that do not concern you directly. (Of course, *all* disciplinary matters concern the deans.)
#5: It is not allowed to start fights in school, or to use excessive force in finishing them. |

I hate the end of the fiscal year.
Well, I'm sure most would agree with me that one can find good cause to hate any time of year which is spent at Kyuuri, but this really is one of the very worst. Not only do I have to deal with even *more* random papers than usually, but this year I'm *also* having to do that while making sure the rest of the school stays in perfect order because the damn inspectors have not yet seen fit to show their faces.
Oh, and speaking of the inspectors, the local admin's grapevine has it that one of these guys is a former Catholic priest. No prize for guessing how he'll feel about a school that's most notable for the number of... alternative relationships going on within it. [sweats] Plan C is looking more and more viable by the second.
Actually, speaking of the paperwork, there are some things in there that worry me. For example, I've noted that some of our seniors haven't yet handed in their applications for college, and it's high time. ( For Ichimura the Slightly Bigger and any fellow staff members ) |

Last weekend was hell, and this week has been no better... Tons upon tons of paperwork, phonecalls to make to annoyingly stupid people across Japan - some of whom as Saitou so perceptively notes speak in the most godawful accents.
Between exhaustion, irritation and the ever-present craving for a smoke, I'm starting to lose track of things entirely. Not just the hour, date and when I had my last meal, but I have a nagging feeling some of my belongings are going missing...

Now that I've been a non-smoker for a little over two weeks [twitches] I think I'm starting to feel the much-advertised health improvements. Even if, on balance, some of them aren't wholly positive.
For one thing, my sense of smell is getting more acute. On the one hand, this is a good thing in some circumstances such as when I'm cuddling Souji, I honestly think I could spend forever with my face buried against his neck and just breathing him in, he has such a lovely musky scent... On the other hand... Itou reeks. Absolutely reeks.
Unfortunately, so does Kuro-chan, and he seems to have an even stronger aversion to bathing than Itou. After a very intense hour's work he is now less smelly, but my knuckles are in worse shape than ever. Really have to teach him sometime about not biting the hand that feeds him. Nor scratching it. |

Ryouma, your hamster's safe. Keep the damned beast under lock and key from now on, because the next time he gets stolen away (and there's likely to be a next attempt, that woman is insane!) I am most certainly not going to put myself in harm's way to rescue him.
Saitou... I'm not sure whether to hate or pity you. Honestly, I think you need a visit with one of your fellow therapists. Only a terminally weak-willed and desperate person would have stayed with that frill-obsessed, crotch-kneeing devil woman for as much as a week, let alone several years. Get help.
I am going to spend the rest of today in my office. Anyone who brings any matter to my attention which would require me to rise from my chair will get a firm refusal, and also a knee in the nuts so that they'll understand exactly why I'm not stirring. Be told. |

No earth-shaking news... just a general update.
I'm starting to wonder if nicotine withdrawal can cause memory loss. I woke up this morning with a mild headache and a vague notion of having publicly embarrassed myself last night. Also I seem to have hurt my knuckles yet again, I had blood all over one hand.
Or maybe Sakamoto Brownies are to blame, since I also had a vague taste of rum (and apples, of all things) in my mouth.
In other news, Nurse Yoshida is not an honorable man. What I do remember of last night includes him calling Saitou an orange which may in some ways be true but it's still neither nice nor safe to say it to his face and trying to tempt me to smoke, which is a clear violation of the terms of our bet. Shame on you, Nurse.
I'm actually starting to get used to not smoking... or at least to the violent mood swings attendant on not smoking. The rest of the world seems to have trouble with it, though. Also, there's a certain other condition which recurs more and more often and which doesn't. Fucking. Help. Well, strictly speaking fucking *would* help...
The planning meeting for the camping trip was most productive, apart from us being interrupted by a certain slimeball. I swear, if that man calls me "darling" once again I will carve "I hate you" on the inside of his eyelids just to see if *that* helps him remember. Conditioning of Kuro-chan seems to have been effective, though, as he was quite enraged by said slimeball's presence but hasn't bitten anyone else for almost a week. |
